Wrinkles
As we age, we lose elastin in our skin and repetitive use of muscles is the cause of deep lines or wrinkles. Neuromodulators, such as Botox and Xeomin, have been used safely for over 30 years now. Botulinum toxinA is a purified protein and is used in very small doses for the temporary relaxation of muscles in the face, to help reduce and soften the appearance of these deep lines and wrinkles.
Most often we treat the forehead lines, the smile lines around the eyes (“crow's feet”) and the frown lines between the eyes (the “11’s” or glabellar lines). By treating these lines, you will have a refreshed and natural appearance and normal expressions that will last from 3-6 months. It is also proven safe to use Botox as a preventative treatment in younger patients to curb the onset of wrinkles.

Hyperhidrosis
Characterized by excess sweating in the armpits, hyperhidrosis can cause great frustration in patients. If it is not related to another medical condition, such as hyperthyroidism, that has been fully explored by your family physician, we have the capacity to manage this with you.
Neuromodulators have been proven to help reduce excess sweating, as it blocks messages between the nerves and sweat glands. Benefits can last 6-12 months with this non-invasive treatment. Come in and we can discuss this treatment option with you.
We also offer Morpheus8 treatment to coagulate the sweat glands in the armpits to achieve a longer-term result in comparison to neuromodulator solutions. Contact us for a consulation.
CHRONIC MIGRAINES
If conservative preventative treatment measures have failed, you may fulfill the criteria for treatment with neuromodulator injections. Discuss this option with your family physician. Injections are non-invasive, need no anesthetic, have no downtime, and reduce the intensity or severity of migraine attacks. Results usually last up to 3 months.
